Shanna came to Guelph in 2004 to attend the University of Guelph and fell in love with the city (who wouldn’t!). She has since been a proud resident and has chosen to raise her family here.

Shanna joined the team in 2015 as the Office Manager coming from a background in customer service and management. Shanna works behind the scenes, making sure that everything runs smoothly and that the client experience is a stress-free one. Known for her exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, Shanna ensures that office operations run smoothly and efficiently. She possesses a keen ability to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance overall office functionality. With a friendly and approachable attitude, Shanna creates a positive work environment for those around her.

From organizing the listing process, to coordinating the closing events and all things in between, (and we mean all things),  Shanna seamlessly ensures the day to day operation of the Hudson Smith Real Estate Group is not only is efficient, but that the whole team is consistently performing at their very best.

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE A CAREER IN REAL ESTATE?

I started working part-time for Coldwell Banker Neumann Real Estate while I was at University, and I've been hooked on real estate ever since. While I am not a sales representative, providing admin support to the team works well for my lifestyle and still allows me to be really involved in the fast-paced and ever-changing environment that is real estate. 

WHAT PART OF YOUR WORK DO YOU FIND MOST REWARDING?

I like how busy real estate is; while it can seem like it's all the same (houses all day, every day) it is actually so different. Each client that we work with is unique as is their home. I like being able to make everyone's lives easier - the teams, and our clients with little things they may not even realize they need. I enjoy the environment I work in and when I look at the clock every day I am usually found saying "Only 3 more hours left, how am I going to get it all done?" - I'm never bored!

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO SETTLE IN GUELPH, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PARTS OF THE CITY?

Guelph was a feeling for me. My husband and I met here and when we would return to our hometowns to visit and then drive back to Guelph, it quickly felt like home. I love how much green space there is here. It is a city but still has a small-town vibe. 

WHAT CAN YOU BE FOUND DOING WHEN YOU'RE NOT AT THE OFFICE?

I am always hanging out with my family! We love to go on hikes, swim, read and have living room dance parties.

WHAT ARE SOME FEATURES YOU'D WANT IN YOUR DREAM HOME?

My dream home would be in the country, just outside of the city limits of Guelph. I would love to have a walkout basement and of course, my dream home has to come with a pool.
